Ed has over thirty years experience in the body shop industry joining the Colours team in 1996. His passion for cars early in life sparked an interest in repairing them. Ed painted his first car at the age of 13, and worked after school and summers in body shops before he was old enough to drive.

Throughout the years, Ed has experienced technology progress. The trend has moved from lacquer and acrylic enamel to Deltron, Global and Nexa Autocolor. Ed believes the present is a very exciting time in the body shop industry. A move to waterborne technology and PPG’s envirobase product line, superior to anything on the market, is rapidly changing the industry with its ease in use and more importantly its great results.

In his spare time, Ed considers himself car crazy and enjoys restoring muscle cars. He has restored a ’67 Chevelle and ’71 Olds 442 W-30 that he and his wife, Sharon enjoy showing at major car shows all over the country. His cars have won multiple best of show and best paint awards. His work has also been featured in several national magazines and calendars. He is currently in the process of another frame off restorations of an Olds 442 W-30.
